Tim started with HSE in 1991 as an inspector, and during his time in the field covered a variety of industries including printing, construction and broadcasting, and inspection at Heathrow airport.
He specialised in transport industry health and safety issues from 1998 to 2005, and then became Head of Unit for a team leading on operational policy issues across half of GB industry, including road transport, European policy on product safety and high profile national issues such as domestic gas safety.
